I have been looking at the south african sports arena recently and more importantly Rugby, Cricket, Golf and other sporrts that were predominantly "white" sports. A ticket to watch rugby match is more than three times to the one of soccer, yet most of their games are sold out as compared to our beloved soccer. I know that a soccer ticket is R20 and still we don't fill up the stadia. The fact that the SAFA recently got a massive boost of a billion or so from selling their Tv rights needs to be applauded, however when one compares it to what the rugby guys are getting and even their sponsorships, it is a mere quarter of what the cricket and rugby is making. When the Smits and Smith of rugby and cricket are playing, the stadia or grounds are full and the tickets get sold out before time. These players of Rugby or even cricket are wealthy when you compaire them to our Tekos or Mphelas. When the rugby boys retire even without going oversees they are sought after individuals as compaired to our soccer stars.
