To colleagues
some of the comments that resulted in us discussing the pictures lessons was a result of what i posted on my site called durban trip. What i did is that i took my digital photos and make a movie about the three days i spent in durban with my friend Tumi. I learn doing this in this class by experimenting with those pictures. If you want to grab the children's attention, use what they too can use to involve them like their photos. You can teach HSS, LO, Mathematics, NS and other learning area with it. I fully agree with you on your comment. Our learners especially those at the lower level, learns best by seeing things as well as through observations.Whatever they have seen becomes embedded in their minds and are also able to recall them easily.Therefore as educators we need to create more opportunities for our learners to utilise some of the ICT devices to capture pictures ,movies and so on.Thus learning for them will be fun and interesting.
